Amanda Morgan, Esq.
Executive Director
Amanda Morgan is a Nevada civil rights attorney with a passion for education law and policy. Her experience as an abuse and neglect advocate in local schools, an education advocate for foster children with special needs, and as a student herself in the Clark County School District, inspired her to dedicate her life and career to ensuring students received the resources and support necessary to be successful in school and life.
In 2014, Amanda’s longtime commitment to civil rights, specifically education rights, led her to begin working as a legal consultant for Education Law Center, a national organization focused fair and equitable education funding. This eventually led to her role as Executive Director for Educate Nevada Now.
Previously, Amanda practiced civil rights law with the American Civil Liberties Union of Nevada, participating in impact litigation, education, and policy development. She engaged in high-profile cases and advocacy related to the prevention of school violence and discrimination, disability rights, voting rights, and access to appropriate sex education.
Amanda clerked for the Legal Aid Center of Southern Nevada where she focused on special education law and assisting students and families with obtaining appropriate services in an inclusive environment.
Amanda has lived in Nevada for over 35 years and is a proud graduate of the Clark County School District, University of Nevada, Las Vegas, and William S. Boyd School of Law.
Michelle Booth
Communications Director
Michelle Alejandra Booth is the Communications Director for Educate Nevada Now, managing media and community relations along with messaging and strategy. Prior to joining ENN, she served as the Communications Director at the Clark County School District, the fifth largest school district in the nation. A former journalist and current public relations professional, Booth has more than 20 years of professional experience.
Michelle is a proud mom and military spouse. She received her bachelor’s degree in journalism from the University of Texas at El Paso and has her Master’s in Business Administration from the University of Nevada, Las Vegas.
Matt Morris, Esq.
Policy Consultant
Matt is a practicing attorney at Holland & Hart LLP where he focuses on administrative law, civil litigation, and legislative and government affairs. His public sector experience includes serving as Legislative Director for former Nevada Governor Brian Sandoval, and as a speechwriter and district representative for former U.S. Senator Dean Heller. Matt also served as a law clerk to Justice Ron Parraguirre at the Nevada Supreme Court. He served as President of the UNLV Boyd Law School Alumni Association, and as a board member for Jobs for Nevada's Graduates. He was recently recognized as the Second Judicial District Lawyer in the Library Pro Bono Lawyer of the Year. Matt is a proud father and husband. He enjoys spending time with his family, exploring Lake Tahoe, and cheering on the Las Vegas Raiders.
Ed Garcia, Esq.
Policy Consultant
Prior to establishing his own practice, Ed Garcia was a partner at Holland & Hart LLP and a senior leader of its Legislative and Regulatory Affairs practice. Ed is a member of the Clark County, Latino and American bar Associations. He is also a board member of the United Way of Southern Nevada. He holds a J.D. from the University of Richmond T. C. Williams School of Law and a B.A. from the University of Nevada, Reno. Ed is proud to be born and raised in Nevada.
